Designing a custom wheel for Qhubeka ASSOS in collaboration with Hunt Bike Wheels was a standout project in my career, both creatively and culturally. The challenge was to merge two distinct brand identities into one bold visual statement that would hold its own in the high-pressure, high-visibility environment of the Tour de France. From early sketches to final production, the goal was to create something iconic and instantly recognisable within the peloton. I focused on clean, striking graphics that balanced Qhubeka’s purpose-driven mission with Hunt’s high-performance ethos. The final result wasn’t just a technical component, it was a moving canvas, seen by millions, that told a story of purpose, speed, and unity on one of the biggest stages in cycling.

Tour De France //

It was a proud moment to see a design I created featured on one of the world’s biggest sporting stages, the Tour de France. While the custom Qhubeka × Hunt wheel didn’t claim a stage win during the race, its presence in the peloton was a milestone in itself. Hunt wheels have proven their performance elsewhere, including a Giro d’Italia stage win with Mauro Schmid in 2021. Being part of that level of exposure, where design meets elite competition, was a rewarding and unforgettable experience.
